Reed's Crossing - 2019
GCH has been working with Newland Communities on the planning of Reed's Crossing; a 465 acre mixed-use community in Hillsboro, Oregon. Brian Merritt from Minuteman Mortgage has been keeping the world updated on the progress of the development through his YouTube channel, including this video he shot earlier this month showing the first phase of construction.
Ultimately Reed's Crossing will include 3500 residential units with a broad range of densities and neighborhoods, a shopping and entertainment district, commercial and office spaces, schools, and a network of parks, trails, and open spaces. The community is currently the largest mixed-use residential development planned in Oregon.

Meadow Park - 2019
We have been busy working on the design of Meadow park, which is almost complete! This 20 acre park will include an event lawn, pavilion, lake, trails, STEM design features, and an amphitheater. The site will also serve as the primary stormwater facility for the Tehaleh community. Several large art pieces will be included in the park that will relate to the storm water functions.

Yesler Terrace - 2019
GCH is excited to be working with Vulcan Real Estate and Encore Architects on a mixed-use housing development in Yesler Terrace. The design protects and celebrates several existing trees and integrates urban wildlife habitat features with new native and drought tolerant planting. Other Site features include a neighborhood gateway, a series of pausing and amenity zones for public use and a series of integrated raingardens; that reveal and celebrate onsite storm water. The landscape design emphasizes our commitment to creating high-quality public open space and the seamless integration of new developments into the changing urban fabric of this neighborhood.

Dexter Yard - 2019
GCH is currently working on this exciting development located in South Lake Union. This full block project includes a through-block pedestrian connection and a field house for community gathering. Other amenities include an amphitheater, outdoor dining areas, public plazas, roof gardens and bioretention planters. SkB Architects have designed two beautiful buildings that respect the history of South Lake Union respond to the surrounding neighborhood.

Ferrying Trees - 2018
GCH recently worked on the landscape design of a private residence on Orcas Island. The design included over 30 mature trees which were transported across the Rosario Strait on Washington State Ferries.

Magnuson Residence - 2018
Construction was recently completed on the landscape for this existing private residence near Magnuson Park in Seattle. GCH redesigned the entire site, including this new retaining wall that includes a water feature and planter. The new design also includes an arrival court with fountain, extended parking area, stepped terraces, multiple outdoor seating and dining areas (including outdoor fireplaces and barbeque areas), lighting, new fencing, and a putting green.

Chengdu Hilton Concept Design - 2018
GCH recently prepared initial concept designs for a new luxury mountain resort at Qing Cheng Mountain near Chengdu, China. This plan detail shows the natural Onsen Spa area designed for the mountain retreat. The entire program includes two Hilton Hotels, the Onsen Spa, multiple swimming pools and water features, luxury lakeside villas, a recreational zone with putting course and commercial area.

Hotel Indigo - 2018
Hotel Indigo in Everett is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in summer 2019. The hotel will have 142 rooms and over 7,000sq-ft of event space, a large outdoor dining terrace and two outdoor event lawns for waterside weddings and gatherings. GCH worked closely with MZA Architects on this new hotel which is a key component of the Waterfront Place redevelopment by the Port of Everett.

WSECU - 2018
Construction is nearly complete on the new WSECU building in Seattle’s University District. We worked on the project with SkB Architects, who designed the bank’s new signature building. The landscape design consists of street and entry planting plus a green roof. GCH is excited to have played a part in such a great addition to this vibrant neighborhood.

Vineyard Park - 2018
GCH is currently working on the design of several new parks for The Lookout at Lake Chelan. This illustration is of Vineyard Park, which creates a central pedestrian green corridor through the community. The new park will create walkable neighborhoods, community gathering spaces, and enhance the livability of the properties that front the park; as well as those beyond. The park will be anchored at the south end by a proposed community seating area with views to Lake Chelan and the north end by a new pool complex.
