Magnuson Residence - 2018
Construction was recently completed on the landscape for this existing private residence near Magnuson Park in Seattle. GCH redesigned the entire site, including this new retaining wall that includes a water feature and planter. The new design also includes an arrival court with fountain, extended parking area, stepped terraces, multiple outdoor seating and dining areas (including outdoor fireplaces and barbeque areas), lighting, new fencing, and a putting green.

Chengdu Hilton Concept Design - 2018
GCH recently prepared initial concept designs for a new luxury mountain resort at Qing Cheng Mountain near Chengdu, China. This plan detail shows the natural Onsen Spa area designed for the mountain retreat. The entire program includes two Hilton Hotels, the Onsen Spa, multiple swimming pools and water features, luxury lakeside villas, a recreational zone with putting course and commercial area.

Hotel Indigo - 2018
Hotel Indigo in Everett is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in summer 2019. The hotel will have 142 rooms and over 7,000sq-ft of event space, a large outdoor dining terrace and two outdoor event lawns for waterside weddings and gatherings. GCH worked closely with MZA Architects on this new hotel which is a key component of the Waterfront Place redevelopment by the Port of Everett.

WSECU - 2018
Construction is nearly complete on the new WSECU building in Seattle’s University District. We worked on the project with SkB Architects, who designed the bank’s new signature building. The landscape design consists of street and entry planting plus a green roof. GCH is excited to have played a part in such a great addition to this vibrant neighborhood.

Vineyard Park - 2018
GCH is currently working on the design of several new parks for The Lookout at Lake Chelan. This illustration is of Vineyard Park, which creates a central pedestrian green corridor through the community. The new park will create walkable neighborhoods, community gathering spaces, and enhance the livability of the properties that front the park; as well as those beyond. The park will be anchored at the south end by a proposed community seating area with views to Lake Chelan and the north end by a new pool complex.

Sheraton Grand Da Nang - 2018
GCH is pleased to announce the recent opening of one of their hotel projects, the Sheraton Grand Da Nang Resort in Vietnam. The design for this property, including the landscape, was largely guided by the hotel’s future role as host to future APEC meetings in the region. Notable landscape features designed by GCH include an arrival water court, meandering stream, children’s play park, pop jet fountains, along with an astonishing 1 acre swimming pool ending with an infinity edge overlooking the East Vietnam Sea.

California Plaza - 2018
Renovations of California Plaza in Walnut Creek, California have been completed. We worked closely with SkB Architects and CBRE on the retail plaza. Features of the design include covered and open air seating areas, recreation areas (including Bocce Ball), and open air conference spaces.

DMG House in Gray Magazine - 2018
We were excited to see that the DMG House was a featured item in this month’s Gray magazine! The Lake Washington home was designed by RHO Architects and built by Lockhart|Suver. GCH’s landscape concept for the home was centered on a sustainable, low-maintenance approach. A large bio-retention planter collects storm water from the roof of the residence, nourishing the water-loving plants within the planter while reducing the amount of water running into the municipal storm system. Climate-appropriate plants throughout the site require little water and maintenance, and two courtyards provide flexible space for outdoor relaxation and gatherings. All exterior materials were carefully chosen to compliment the architectural character of the home.

EVEN Hotel and Staybridge Suites, Seattle - 2018
Construction is well under way for the new dual-branded EVEN Hotel and Staybridge Suites in Seattle. We are excited to have worked with InterContinental Hotels Group, Noble Investment Group and Murphy Varey Architects on this South Lake Union property. The owner’s attention to wellness-minded travelers can be seen in the exterior design with extensive outdoor landscape, green walls, gathering spaces and a special outdoor area for yoga. Corten planters and concrete seat walls have recently been installed and the landscape planting will be going in this month.

Chee Chan Golf Resort in Asian Golf Magazine - 2018
GCH was excited to see Asian Golf’s February issue featuring an article about the Chee Chan Golf Resort! GCH worked closely with Golfplan on the landscape design for the course in Pattaya, along the Gulf of Siam. The golf course is named after the Chee Chan Buddha; a 110 meter engraving in the limestone mountain that serves as a prominent vista throughout the golf course. As part of the landscape design for the project, views were carefully framed to this and other dramatic natural formations and focal points surrounding the golf course.
