Mira II - 2020

Design was recently completed on the Mira II residential tower in downtown Bellevue, WA. The project is an addition to the already constructed Mira Flats, and brings additional units and amenities to the community. GCH designed the street-level plaza with a water feature, seating and a large community meeting table. The project also includes an outdoor terrace on level 2 and a large rooftop deck with an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, dog area and dining area.

Hotel Indigo - 2020

GCH led the landscape design in collaboration with MZA Architects on this new hotel overlooking the Port of Everett Marina.  Simple bands of concrete and elongated planting bands define the edges of a formal lawn. The lawn overlooks the waterfront and will be used for outdoor events and weddings.  The planting is designed for all season interest with rows of exquisite drought tolerant and native plants that deliver spring, summer, winter and fall displays.   A generous porch permits the dining area to flow outside and provides sheltered perches in the sun for playful seal and sea bird watching.  Hotel Indigo is situated within walking distance of the farmers market, scuttlebutt brewery and the ferry landing to Jetty Island, a primal northwest landscape with that connects to nearby nature opportunities.

Cosmopolitan Condominiums - 2019

GCH worked on the remedial landscape design for Cosmopolitan Condominiums in downtown Seattle. The roof terrace is located on the 34^th floor of the downtown tower and gets a significant amount of use from the residents. The new design includes a fire pit, a kitchen / barbeque area, an outdoor dining area, gathering spaces, planters and landscape planting.

Hawaii 2019 AIA Awards - 2019

GCH was excited to see the Hawaii Business Magazine’s 2019 AIA Design Awards included Honorable Mentions for the Curio Sanya Yazhou Bay and Hilton Linzhi Resorts! GCH worked closely with FSC Architects on the landscape design for both 5-star luxury projects, which are currently under the Hilton Hotels portfolio. The Sanya Resort is set on the crystal blue waters and sandy shores of Hainan Island. Its lush tropical landscape, waterfall grottoes, and 5 unique swimming pools create an oasis of relaxation just minutes away from the bustling city of Sanya. The Linzhi Resort is in the heart of the Tibetan Himalayas in the Gongbu Valley, which is home to the headwaters of the Brahmaputra River and the only place on earth where the Tibetan yellow peony grows. The hotel boasts a state of the art indoor/outdoor spa complex, conference center, a peony research facility and equestrian complex.

Bellingham Sculpture Park - 2019

GCH has been the landscape architect for a private sculpture park and retreat  for a 200 acre property near Bellingham WA.  The project includes varies art-walks and nature trails, art installations, 3,000 sf studio, chefs’ kitchen and garden, wildflower nursery and events cabin.  The ongoing landscape design also includes creation and restoration of river, forest and meadow habitats.

Columbia River Reserve - 2019

GCH worked on the original planning and landscape architecture for Sagecliffe and the Cave B Inn & Winery, located adjacent to the Gorge Amphitheater in eastern Washington. We have recently start to assist with the planning and design for the next phases of development; which may include a hotel and event center, lake and beach park, resort residential communities, luxury camping, along with various trails and amenities. Paramount to every aspect of the planning effort is preservation and enhancement of the natural environment and ecosystems of the Columbia River Basin.  

Vineyards Community Pool - 2019

GCH is currently working on the design of several new parks and community features for The Lookout at Lake Chelan. This illustration is of The Vineyards Community Pool, which anchors the north end of Vineyard Park, the central pedestrian green corridor through the community.  GCH is excited to continue working with The Lookout and to watch its continued development and growth.

Sky Lake - 2019

GCH has been busy working with the development team at Sky Lake Resort in Vietnam expanding their idyllic destination property outside of Hanoi. The IMG Prestige property currently including two 18-hole championship courses and clubhouse will soon be adding 70 luxurious branded villas and residences with planning and landscape design provided by GCH. The project will ultimately include further development with two hotels, water park, additional high end residential communities and expanded golf facilities.

Reed's Crossing - 2019

GCH has been working with Newland Communities on the planning of Reed's Crossing; a 465 acre mixed-use community in Hillsboro, Oregon. Brian Merritt from Minuteman Mortgage has been keeping the world updated on the progress of the development through his YouTube channel, including this video he shot earlier this month showing the first phase of construction.

Ultimately Reed's Crossing will include 3500 residential units with a broad range of densities and neighborhoods, a shopping and entertainment district, commercial and office spaces, schools, and a network of parks, trails, and open spaces. The community is currently the largest mixed-use residential development planned in Oregon.

Meadow Park - 2019

We have been busy working on the  design of Meadow park, which is almost complete! This 20 acre park will include an event lawn, pavilion, lake, trails, STEM design features, and an amphitheater. The site will also serve as the primary stormwater facility for the Tehaleh community. Several large art pieces will be included in the park that will relate to the storm water functions.
