Wayfarer at Yesler Terrace - 2024

We are excited to announce the completion of the Wayfarer Apartments at Yesler Terrace, a collaborative project between GCH Landscape Architects, Vulcan Real Estate, and Encore Architects. The landscape design preserves several existing trees and integrates urban wildlife habitat features with new, native, and drought-tolerant plantings. Key elements include a neighborhood gateway, a series of inviting amenity zones for public use, and integrated rain gardens that highlight and celebrate on-site stormwater management.

The project also has several expansive roof terraces featuring grilling stations, decks with stunning mountain and water views, comfortable lounge areas, and a community vegetable garden. This landscape design reflects our dedication to creating vibrant public spaces and seamlessly blending this development into the evolving urban fabric of Yesler Terrace.

Washington 1000 - 2024

We are excited to announce the recent completion of landscape design work for the Washington 1000 tower, a new addition to the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle. This project introduces expansive rooftop spaces and amenities, enhancing the experience for visitors.

The design for the outdoor areas include spacious terraces, cozy lounge spaces, a dedicated dog-friendly area, dining areas for social gatherings, and versatile outdoor meeting spaces that promote both relaxation and productivity.

Park at Park Street - 2024

Construction has recently been completed on Park Street Park in Chelan, WA. The Park is one of the Waterfront Accesses Points along the Chelan trail network being developed to improve pedestrian connectivity to Lake Chelan. GCH worked with the Chelan Parks and Recreation Department to transform the former parking area and lake edge into a feature pocket park for relaxing by the lake side.

Parkshore Gardens - 2024

Construction is underway on Parkshore at Juanita Bay, a new senior living community in Kirkland. GCH Landscape Architects is collaborating with Perkins Eastman and Transforming Age to create a distinctive landscape design that integrates a range of outdoor amenities for both residents and visitors. Special attention has been dedicated to an existing stream and wetland to preserve, enhance, and protect this environmentally sensitive area.

Botánika - Costa Rica - 2024

Botánika, the unprecedented luxury eco-destination on Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, has completed construction on phase one. The first ever ground-up construction in Hilton’s Curio Collection, Botánika methodically and intentionally rewilds a former agricultural site; restoring a degraded ecosystem and providing authentic floral and faunal habitat through what might be called Rainforest Rejuvenation of the property. It is envisioned that wildlife will again move freely to, from, and through the forest canopy of this transformed property which features direct links to the fabled Corcovado National Park.

Rocky Pond Resort - 2024

Rocky Pond Resort sits on 50 acres in Eastern Washington and offers a picturesque setting adjacent to the Columbia River. In collaboration with the Owners and SkB Architects, GCH is developing the overall master plan; including site planning and landscape architectural design. The resort’s centerpiece will be a luxurious destination hotel and event venue, additional amenities include state-of-the-art conference facilities, winery and distillery tasting rooms, a spa, multiple pools, trails, and open spaces.

Ravenwing Resort - 2024

GCH has assisted the Owner's with the landscape design of a neighborhood entry and several homes within the community. The site is one of the most dramatic and unique community in the Northwest. Through a detailed design process, the homes, trails, and amenities of the community are nestled into the landscape while creating minimal impact to the site. Firewise landscape principals are used for each home and a mix of plants that are fire resistant.

Snoqualmie Casino - 2024

From the Daily Journal of Commerce, construction is moving along on the expansion to the Snoqualmie Casino. GCH has been working closely with BWA Architects on the expansion which will add a new 10-storey hotel, spa, entertainment venue, restaurants, and additional gaming floor space, and a new parking structure to the existing Snoqualmie Casino. The design includes new landscape around the proposed hotel and parking structure, and a rooftop sun deck which takes advantage of views of to the Cascade Mountains.

Crescent Ridge - Vineyard Pool - 2023

The community pool for The Vineyard district is currently under construction at Crescent Ridge in Crescent Bar, WA. The pool anchors the west end of the site and overlooks the Columbia River. 

The Lookout Village - 2023

GCH has been working with the development team at The Lookout in Lake Chelan for more than a decade. We are excited to share our newest collaboration with growing community. The Lookout Village will anchor the northwest corner of the community and consist of a commercial zone with additional community amenities, including additional parks, pedestrian connections, and green street.
