Shun Yi - 2016
We recently teamed with YinterWork Design and Ankrom Moisan Architects on a design competition for Shun Yi, a senior living facility in Beijing, China. The project focuses on a strong connection to nature which features a wide variety of gardens, walking trails, water features, plazas, outdoor dining areas and a village center.

Tommy Bahama - 2016
Congratulations to Tommy Bahama on the recent opening of their new corporate headquarters in downtown Seattle. Working closely with SkB Architects, GCH provided landscape architectural design services for a large rooftop terrace. The project included outdoor seating areas, a wood deck, planters and an extensive green roof.

Harbor Avenue Campus - 2016
Youngone Harbor Avenue Campus received final recommendation approval from the West Seattle Design Review Board this week! GCH is proud to be working in collaboration with Rhodes Architecture and Light, Miller Hull Partnership and Magnusson Klemencic on this exciting project. The landscape architectural program includes several roof decks, a water wall, renaturalization of a hillside and a large breezeway through the building that provides public access to the waterfront.

Fu Min Time Square - 2015
GCH recently completed landscape architectural design work on this contemporary retail shopping center in Fu Min, China. Working with MG2 Architecture, the project includes retail promenades, outdoor dining, plazas, water features, rooftop terraces, green roofs and a large interior courtyard.

Gary Player Golf Course - 2015
The recently completed Gary Player Golf Course at DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurgaon, India was host to the 2015 “Hero Women’s Indian Open” last month. GCH provided Landscape Architectural services for the golf course which included the use of thousands of indigenous trees and plant material designed to reduce maintenance and irrigation requirements.
The property which is located within a densely populated urban core outside of Delhi has become a natural bird and wildlife refuge as a result of the extensive landscaped areas designed into the project. GCH has provided landscape architectural services for numerous projects on DLF’s sprawling real estate development over the past 9 years.

Typhoon Soudelor - 2015
During a recent site visit to Fuzhou China our design team was briefly stranded when Typhoon Soudelor struck the coastal city. Lake Samish Residence - 2015
GCH is working very closely with the owners of a 5 acre waterfront residence on Lake Samish WA. The plan includes creation of forests, meadows, natural shoreline and a beach for their main house, guest house, barn and beach house. The owner salvaged this six foot diameter log and challenged GCH to repurpose it on the property. It will ultimately be set on the edge of a forest and be sculpted into amphitheater seating for events and “sport court” viewing.

Port Ludlow Resort Residential Community - 2015
GCH is proud to announce that Westharbor Homes has been named a Grand Winner at 2015 Gold Nugget Awards for Ludlow Cove II, a new residential community at Port Ludlow Resort. “Gold Nugget Award winners reflect our industry’s best, brightest and most innovative architects, planners and builder/developers”. GCH worked closely with Union Studio to prepare design documents for several new parks, the streetscape, project entry and a model home.

Clearwater Casino Resort - 2015
GCH is excited to announce the opening of the newest hotel at the Clearwater Casino Resort in Suquamish, Washington. Located on the water adjacent to Agate Passage, the hotel location boasts one of the most remarkable views in the region. The expansion takes advantage of the lands natural beauty, perched atop the south facing bluff. The design services of GCH include creating a seamless transition between the new hotel and the existing hotel and grounds (also designed by GCH), a grand waterside amphitheater, fire pits for traditional clambakes, hotel arrival water features, and an outdoor dining terrace.

U.S. Open - 2015
While it was one of the most controversial U.S. Golf Open’s in recent times, it was also one of the most exciting golf tournaments on record. GCH is proud to have been involved with the landscape architectural design on the project including the extended trail and park system. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Pierce County, Miller Hull and Robert Trent Jones II on such an exciting project.
